For my magazine, I have decided to name it RAVEN based on an ebony point of view. This is because I am trying to embrace black culture across all sections for example in beauty, fashion, art, music and others. I'm very excited to research and learn more about black culture.
As for the ones who do not know what ebony is; according to this context, it is a general term meaning 'Dark Skin'. If you can search all over our media platforms the word 'ebony' you may see black people representing which gives the blacks an identity. Raven is known as a glossy black color which is mainly specified with hair. My magazine will be a safe place where the black community has a space to create and express talent without any judgment but support because we are a family.
